The Bioindustry Organization of Southern Arizona (BIOSA) is a trade association formed to support the creation, operation, and expansion of bio-based enterprises, and the commercialization of university/research institute-based technologies in Southern Arizona. BIOSA is a dues-paying organization that draws its membership from a university and research institutions, large and small companies, and individuals interested in the development of a strong bio-based industry in Southern Arizona.

Member offers many benefits, including:

  • Discounted rates to monthly meetings where speakers are invited to give presentations of interest to the Southern Arizona bio community.
  • Free attendance at periodic evening “mixers”, which feature brief presentations on companies and products that might be of interest. Our mixers, which are held at different locations around Tucson, are an excellent opportunity to socialize with other BIOSA members.
  • Substantial discounts on biotech products through a collaborative agreement with Thermo Fisher and is available to BIOSA members at no cost.

In addition to these benefits, your membership in BIOSA supports other activities in our community. Events that your membership helps support include the student-industry event each year and supporting students in the KEYS Internship Program at the University of Arizona (high school students who work in U of A research labs during the summer), IdeaFunding, and supporting and representing Southern Arizona in the Arizona Pavilion at the BIO International Convention.
